Day 3 - Wednesday 28th November 2012

So, day 3 in LA and i think i made some progress with trying to wake up earlier. Today I managed to get out of bed at 10.00 am. Yes, I know that is still reasonably late but it was better than yesterday. Yet again I got ready to head out for an another long day shopping.

So today we headed to In-N-Out Burgers to try out they're burgers. It was such a good experience going through a drive through in america. So without any experience or knowledge we ordered just a normal meal. Double double burger. Double meat, double cheese. It was really nice and tasted so so good. IT WAS DELICIOUS :) And the fries was the best I ever had. Not so oily not so small. Can't wait to go eat there again.

Shopping again at an another mall. This time it was Anaheim Mall. This mall was much more modern and colourful. First store to go into was Forever 21. I've heard so much about this store and was excited to see what they had to offer. The store was relatively big with two levels the bottom level had all the new releases  and normal clothes. So I headed up to the second level where most of the sales were to see if i could get any good deals. Sadly most of the clothes that I had chosen weren't on sale which was a shame cause it was so hard looking for clothes for my sister. Picky one she is, must be simple and not too feminine.

The next store that I visited was Ross. I bought a few items from there. Surprisingly I was able to find a couple of coats, dresses and shirts that was above average quality and looked good at a pretty decent price

Last stop was store called Kohl's. It reminded me a lot of Myers or David Jones. Very sophisticated and a lot of the clothes was really high quality. 

  

After a long day of walking around shopping, finally I got to go home and have a rest. 

No matter how much I try, I still feel the same, I still get this feeling deep down...

Day 2 - Tuesday 27th November 2012

So today was day two of my time in the US and me & my sister managed to sleep in to 2.00 pm in the afternoon. I guess we're still jet lagged, since the time difference is so different. Woke up and quickly made some steamed dumplings, as well as beef & vegetable soup for breakfast.

Headed out yet again for another trip around somewhere local. Ended up going to Little Saigon to do some grocery shopping. It was so strange to see the grocery market, all the fruit was so cheap compared to back in Australia. And the meat did not really look very appetising either because the meat was all frozen. 

Next stop was the Westminster Mall, shopping yet again. LOL. This time I went into Target, then several clothing stores. I eventually went into the Victoria Secret Store, I absolutely liked the layout of the store as well as the Fitting Rooms. The decoration and displays on the wall was just beautiful. Why wouldn't it be if there was pictures of the Victoria Secret Angels. I ended up in Macy's and got a few really good bargins a few new things for summer :) I have added a few photos from today below. 

Missing Sydney so much, maybe the weather not so much. 

Everyday is a new adventure, you never know what you may learn.

Day 1 - Monday 26th November 2012

I decided to start writing about my trip to the US. 

This would be the first time travelling overseas alone without my parents. 

On this trip I am accompanied by my younger sister. 

Due to both of us being first time travellers, we both looked like a deer in headlights.

Both so clueless and just guessing where to go. 

So i departed Sydney on Mon 26 Nov in the afternoon and traveled 13.5 hours on a plane with United Airlines to arrive at LA on Mon 26 Nov in the morning. Felt like I time traveled and gained a day, however the time difference is so different.

So what did i get up to on my first day here? Ofcourse I went around like any other foriegner. Just browsing though the diffferent stores at my local mall. So i first i went into a store callled Sears, it really reminded me of Myers/David Jones. Because of the layout as well as the products the sold. Next I went into DSW to look at all the clearance shoes, I getting excited trying on several heels. Just like a child in a candy store. LOL. All of the shoes I tried on looked pretty nice too. Next stop was a store called Ross it was big and very average prices some reason it reminded me of bigW. Hahaha look at me trying to relate everything to Australia. And to conclude my short trip my final stop was  Walmart. I really dont know how to explain it, they sold so much things from different categories. They even had a MacDonalds inside the store! So surprising.
